Moon and venus 24 May 2005

At three o'clock this morning it is very cloudy, cold and miserable. I was getting out to get ready to have a session at taking the comets fragments. However, I went to bed. But this morning at six I was greeted with the following sight

Image taken the with a Pentax *istDS 3 seconds ISO 200 and 18 mm a focal length F 3.5.
EDIT: this was hand-held propped on a non lowen pro bag, shutter delay two seconds

Nice one H0ughy. Looks like a few of us were up early this morning.

Here is my effort. Through the window, hand held braced against the window frame, 1 sec @ ISO200.

I contemplated grabbing the tripod, getting dressed and going outside to do it properly but it was very cold this morning. The moon and Venus would have to be colliding to get me outside this morning and even then I would have to think about it.
