M42 on 10" Newt

Hi all,

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

Recently I had some issues with my EQ6 in regards to drive/backlash/bad noises etc.
With the expert aid of TheDecepticon (Thanks again Graham) we managed to get her back on track.

First light for me was last night and it was a case of clouds rolling in after I got relatively polar aligned (not perfect) - typical!
I managed a few pics of 1 min exposures through the night.

Details:
Skywatcher 10" Newt
EQ6 w/ GoTo
Modded Canon 400D
11x60sec @ ISO800 unguided

Stacked in Deepsky stacker.
Edited in Photoshop (needs more work to tame the core etc)

I know my stars are not perfect - Looking forward to getting auto guiding sorted very soon.
Feedback welcome (only way to learn) - Long way to go...

Thanks for looking

Gidday maaaaaate!

Top job! Focus looks good, colour is not too bad and stars are quite round considering. You look like you might be dangerous when you get guiding up and running!

Cant wait to see more from you.

Cheers!!
