24th March. A clear day but very windy. In the centre of the sun is AR 3615. This region has grown in size as it moves across the sun's disc. Image 1 shows the location of the sunspots at 540 nm. The other images show the sun at 656 nm (Ha) to show AR 3615 and some prominences. Recently AR 3615 produced a M1.1, M2.4 and a M3 flares.
All single exposures with Canon 550d. Regards John W.
Great images again, lots to see. AR3615 released an X1 flare yesterday and a large CME is heading our way, timed to arrive late today I believe but favouring Europe and the Americas. The predictions are for an G3 storm, those of you down south may get some auroral activity, pity about the full moon though.
