What is this imaging artefact?

I have an odd distortion in my images vertical streaks appear above bright stars, would appreciate diagnosis from the cognoscenti....the image is a screen grab showing a 5 min shot of Acrux and another of eta carina. My guess is microlens flare or perhaps my pixels are saturated and spilling over? These are shot with an sbig st4000xm on a GSO RC10.

At 5 minutes on Acrux I would be assuming overflow. Even with ABG (not sure if it has it), you're filling those photon buckets up
