Yes Mark both 14" scopes are on permanent piers, Do not want to take then off....Just need to adjust or fix the cooling a bit more..

does having your telescope on a pier make a big difference in imaging planets?

Well actuallym when it's on the pier, I do not have to polar align it all the time, Right now the mount is polar aligned so that Jupiter or other planets stays in the FOV for about 30 minutes without adjusting it all the time..

It's a terrific image!
Best level of detail I've seen from Mars this season. Hats off!
Question: Is the blue streak on the pole something natural ? what? or just a processing artifact?

Wow, Freddy that would have to be the best Mars image I have seen for ages. Outstanding detail. Thanks for the view.
All the best.
