Dec 2nd Sun views

Dec 2nd. These two images are of AR2786/2785 on the Sun's SW limb this morning. The air was very windy esp. for the second image (you can see the roughness of the edge of the Sun). Both single exposures with a Canon 550d camera - the orange one at Ha wavelength (Lunt 100 scope), the yellow one at 540 nm with a WO 81 mm refractor. There appeared to be less flaring today as compared to images taken on 27th Nov (see other postings). Thanks for viewing.

Very good to see that you got some imaging in John. Those AR's still look impressive. Nothing but clouds here down south. Thanks for posting.

Lovely pair of images John, these ARs' that we've had the pleasure of observing and imaging in the past few weeks have been good practice for the rest of this new cycle.
