2 more alignment questions

Since I'm a Beginner, and this is Beginner's Forum, I won't apologize for asking these 2 questions smile.gif . I have an Evo 6:

1) If I successfully align using the Sky Portal app, am I then able to use the Hand Controller if I was so inclined for Go To, or whatever (or, vice versa)?

2) Once successfully aligned, if I physically move the scope 20 feet or so, do I have to realign? Sometimes I'll set up in rear of my driveway, but then might want to see something where I have to move it to the front of driveway.

Hi Entaro
For 1, I don't know, but, for 2, yes you will.

When you move it, it will be pointing at a different point in the sky and the scope will not know that.
Have fun

Re 1. If you have done an alignment with Sky Portal (or Sky Safari), then you can use the handset arrow keys to adjust position. This is useful, because you can keep your eye on the eyepiece at the same time. Apart from that, I don't think there is any other interoperability between the two.
