Resort Room available for a week at Palm Cove during the eclipse

I know a few people will be searching for last minute Total Solar Eclipse accommodation, so this may be helpful to some.

I'm posting this on behalf of Sue for the benefit of members wishing to go to Palm Cove for the eclipse.

Hi Mike

The resort is called Alassio at Palm Cove – its right on the water and I have especially booked a second floor suite which has a Jacuzzi on the balcony facing the water (so should be able to see the eclipse from there).

Like I said I have since moved to a house close by so seems silly to stay in a room, I have had it booked for over 2 years though..... has been a big decision to let it go! Part of the reason I contacted your forum – I thought it would be nice for it to go to someone who will really appreciate it.

The only concern I had was whether double island will impact the viewing – but I couldn’t find any definite answer on that either way.... I did go out there at sunrise last Nov and it seemed like it would be ok – but that was just a layman’s guess.

Arrival Date: November 11, 2012
Departure Date: November 18, 2012
Number of Nights: 7
Number of Adults: 4 (2 bedroom)

I would be looking for at least $3500 for the week (the going rate). I know they have a waiting list already at the resort so I think the booking would have to be negotiated between myself and the people wishing to take it.

Let me know if anyone is interested, my personal email is spritlie@bigpond.com or phone 0418 245 567
I hope that helps!
