Which remote controller for 400D?

Hi guys,

you have all offered some great advice on buying a Canon DSLR, so now also wondering which remote controller I should get to take long exposure shots with a 400D.

Should I get an RC1 or an TC-80N3 for long exposure photos using the B setting?

John.

Hi John

If I understand it correctly, the TC-80N3 provides interval shooting too. That is, without the need for a computer, you can program the TC-80N3 to take, say, 50 exposures of 30 secs duration at 1 minute intervals.

If my assumption is correct, I would go for the TC-80N3 as it means computer free control for the Canon.

Cheers

Dennis

I use the TC-80N3 and love it.
Don't use the computer based controller much now.

Dennis is correct, that is how it works.

EDIT: Provided it connects with the 400D.

Hi John, I have the TC_80N3, it is fantastic, John is correct you can set it to take as many images as you like, with intervals of any length, at as long an exposure as you like, press start and walk away.

It is worth every cent, it is that good.

Cheers leon
