The Sun on May 22nd.

22nd May.
A nice steady and sunny day to take a few images of the Sun today.
First image is at 540 nm to show the sunspots, while the second and third images are at 656 nm (Ha) to show the prominence and flares around the active regions. North is up in all pics. All images are single exposures with a Canon 550d.
Thanks for viewing.
John W.

Hi John,
Lovely shots. Lots of detail.
Hope we get another huge active region to entertain us.

Richard 🙂
