Greenwich APOTY Sky at Night

I was surprised to find the BBC/Sky at Night magazine reached out to me recently asking
whether I'd write a piece for their upcoming May edition on how I created my runner-up solar image for the the 2023 comp....and get paid for the privilege

I decided to share the method.... which got christened the WST (Ward Solar Transform) effect.
Probably won't be as popular as the Ken Burns effect

So....if you want read about how to turn the Sun "inside out", the May edition will have the details.

I was delighted to see the The Sky at Night issue in my letterbox last week.
Also pondered the sad demise of AS&T and why it may have folded. Not enough local content? Who knows.

Thinking of things folding...I much prefer a real magazine over a digital copy. Doesn't need software, screens or batteries. You can thumb through the pages with ease. What a concept! .
