Converting Eq mount to Alt/Az

I'd seen conversions done on Cloudy Nights but my Skyview Pro wouldn't adjust all the way to latitude 90 degrees, so I had to unbolt the RA assembly from the base, turn it and re-assemble.

I'd been missing my EzTouch but this works just as smoothly, has slow motion controls and isn't too heavy without the CW. It's not at all tippy with smaller scopes and the CW bar can still be used for heavier scopes. It's also cheap enough that I'm happy to leave it outside ready to go.

Just thought I'd post this in case the idea helps someone else with an unused EQ5 type mount laying around.
