How dark are CDS1100D darks?

I was asked if I would take some darks with the CDS1100D for comparison with another brand of modded DSLR.
Thought I'd share my results with you.
All were taken during the same session. The temp of the camera was at -8 to -10 (there is no temp control)
All are 60 second exposures.
These are 100% crops taken from the same region in each shot, the middle of the frame.

I love photos of black.

Who did the mod? Might send my 40D to them.

Hi JJJ,

May need to stretch the dark frames to 50 or 30 in photoshop or the likes to really show the difference.

There is also some info here: http://www.astrophotography.id.au/new-camera-purchase/

And here: http://www.centralds.net/cam/?p=1687

P.S. still waiting for my CDs-600d but not long now

Cheers

Anthony

What advantage is there in stretching the darks?
This is exactly how they look like out of the camera and exactly how they'll be used during processing.
What I should do is take the same darks using my 550D and then put them side by side.
I shall do that now. It'll be the only imaging happening tonight anyway. LOL
