Stockmans Camp at Buchan South is a great site for a star party. I've been to it before and it's got a Bortle 1 rating.

Being in a valley, it's well hidden from the larger regional towns such as Bairnsdale (>50 km) and Orbost (>30 km).

Attached is a pic of the observing and camping field.

Clear skies, great location, very knowledgeable people to talk with, terrible amounts of dew and condensation.
