My good friend Bengt Alfredsson is currently visiting from Sweden. Came here for a little warm weather and the trip to Kakadu and Uluru.
We spent a night out under the stars last night with Kunama (Matt) and Issdaol (Phil) and Geolindon (Lindon) visiting from Mackay all out at Phil's dark site.
Also in attendance "Guinevere" (18"f5.6 dob), Lindons 18" f4.6 dob, Matt's incredible 3D VR TSA240 binohashi's and all the while, Phil was tending his flock of Takahashi's until he discovered a spider in his scope
Great night looking at many old favourites
Orion Neb, Eta Carina, Tarantula, 47 Tuc, Omega Centauri, hint of a horsehead nebula.
Then we went on a "galaxy quest" observing NGC 5128, 253, 1365 and neighbours in the Fornax cluster, M95 & 96 in Leo and the triplet M65, 66 and NGC 3628 and M104.
Bengt took this picture of me with my camera then I did one of him.
