first attempt ngc6188

it just a sniff of photons, a tad over 2 hours not even a standard candle to some of the benchmark images taken lately. taken under a half moon in bortle 6/7 skies and i have never imaged this before, image session cut short with cloud. probably should have started this before now eh

i processed just to show i got something pointless to repro it and i know the star colours are not right

RASA 8 and ASI294

2h? I would have thought there should be a lot more signal than that at F/2 with the RASA. Did you take the front cap off?

Sadly the moon and the lightpollution was a contributing factor, my subs were short

Fair enough. You can't easily get stuff that's fainter than your sky background.

Yes that is a tad challenging, so there is no more deep Space stuff until the moon goes away. Need to plan a better outcome eh?

You need one of those dual band filters for colour cameras Dave. I've seen them perform miracles on images like this.
