I've been using a trial version of this and have been very happy with it, but the trial ends today.
I've had more success with this than with Pixinsight or Photoshop.
Buy it at a discount, or is there a better alternative?
Yeah, I just picked it up this morn (8hrs left of the sale), at the end of a month trial.
I'm inexperienced, but have also asked around and the consensus is that it does a great job.
Agree with Greg on this one. It has a few presets with limited tweaking. Sometimes it does an incredible job, others completely misses the mark. The possibility to apply process from one image to multiple is great. There is enough variety between denoise and sharpen that you can find a setting that "works best" but if it doesn't then it's good to have something else as well. Only used it for moon and planets.
It's been a regular part of my workflow for some time. However as noted above, a lighter manual touch is better than allowing the presets to do it's thing.
That said, it's overall the best NR app that I've used.
Best way to employ it is on a separate layer, tweak it as much as you can on the AI interface then make further adjustments on the layer and adjust to fit.
Hey Andy I saw your video on the astro imaging channel on youtube . It was great
Cheers Nikolas! Shame the internet died in the SanFrancisco Bay area before I finished the presentation! C'est la vie - glad you enjoyed it though HERE it is anyway for those interested...
