Will Rolf Harris survive prison?

Does he deserve to survive it?

It's so sad to see such an idol from our childhood like this

I thought Rolf was one of the good guys. Mind you, back then, I thought Gary Glitter was a good guy too. We even done one of his songs in a school show back home when I was nine.

Rob.

I don't care. He is a criminal who stole innocence.

For the lifetime of misery he landed on his vicitms I think he got off extremely lightly, leniancy because of the historical nature of his crimes ? ,well what I've read On what he was searching the net for in recent times paints this creep as still a serial sex offender of children ,,they all have lost the right to walk amoung us imo, and every time we let one out we fail another generation of kids who deserve to be safe.

Having worked closely with a hell of a lot of kids who have been abused, I've seen the devastation wrought by "rock spiders" and the nightmare NEVER ends for their victims.

I'd like to see him stripped of every asset he's got and locked in a dungeon with a bunch of appropriately oriented inmates who can visit upon him what he has done to others.. Makes me seethe to think he could do this ...

He has betrayed his victims and his fans. He should have his wealth taken. Chemical castration as well. Hope the cook spits in his food. I hope he lives a long life so he has ample time to suffer.

Thinking more castration with a rusty hacksaw and the cook could do more than spit in his food.

I feel the same as all of you. The sentence seemed ridiculously short for such horrible crimes. To me the scary thing is how many other victims are out there remaining silent. He should have been given a longer sentence, one that would have seen him end his days in prison where he belongs.

Why should tax payers money be spent on keeping him safe and well fed in prison?
The sooner he dies the better.
And I'm heartbroken that I can never listen to any of his songs again, with out them being a trigger.

When Harris lived in Crystal Palace, London, in the 1970's, my brother used to go to his home ( very large Victorian three story home ) to clean and wash his car, my brother was about 12 or 13, I hope nothing happened to him?

Over the past decade people have been spending big money buying his paintings, looks like they have a bad investment on their hands now, no doubt his work will also be taken down from various art galleries from around the world, including the fairly recent one of the Queen.

I wouldn't think so Ian, - they may well be worth more in a generation or two simply because of their history.

People are upset right now, but many of us have happily visited such as the Coloseum - built by an emperor that could be said to have inflicted similarly yukky things on equally innocent people.

And for the record, I'd be prepared to bet my nads that the paintings etc currently being hastily removed will find their way into the lofts and basements of the current councillors just in case they should become collectors pieces.

Well, they are reviewing the sentence, so maybe it will be increased.
For it to be reviewed, the authorities must also think it was too lenient.

I think it will kill him.
He's 84 -three years will finish him.
He won't enjoy any of the time he has left.

I hope any who have suffered will feel that prison as a rock spider will be retribution.
I just wish he'd been caught earlier and saved some of the torment being caused.

Unless the UK justice system lets him go if he does get crook.
It was mentioned in a news article recently that getting
really crook can result in early release under UK law.
( eg the Lockerbie bomber )
Doesnt seem right

Don't make so small a wager

Paedophiles deserve imprisonment with sado-masochistic homosexual men who exhibit delusional fantasies of strangulation and blood crimes.

I have absolutely zero tolerance for anyone that hurts kids.

I hope he lives long enough to see everything he has achieved and done will be rendered worthless, his legacy destroyed and his further existence pointless.

He already got stripped of his Hall of Fame induction from ARIA

. . . Talk about the ' loooooooong Arm of the Law ' catching up with you . . . I really thought ( THAT HE THOUGHT ) ' he got away with it ' when he was presented with all those ACCOLADES for being such a nice guy over all those years . . . . and how he presented himself to the adoring Public.

A person at work said this to me ....

OH well ... we are all like the MOON.

I replied . . . what do you mean. . . .

' We all have a Dark Side '

I see his point of reference .... but it was ' metaphorically ' speaking .

All I can say is .... he did it to himself.. . . now pay the consequences for what you did.

Just an extra bit here ..... my Mrs's said .... I wonder if any other ' so called ' nice entertainers are NOW frightened of also being ' found out ' .

Col . . . . . .

Problem is Col he DIDN'T do it to himself - he did it to kids. If only he HAD done it to himself, he'd only have a sore wrist...

No compassion. Hope he enjoys Bubba's visitations during the winter.

I know what your saying . . . and it is true ...It's the ' shame ' and disgust he has bought upon himself is what I'm referring to .

Col ...
