Has anyone used Slooh?

I stumbled across this site:

https://www.slooh.com/space-enthusiasts

They offer "research-grade telescopes and CCD cameras, you can capture celestial images, learn how to process your own astro images, and even carry out scientific research."

Access to telescopes up to a 0.5 meter in Chile, Canary Islands and Australia for $199US a year. Sounds too good to be true.

Does anyone have any experience with them?

Chris

Sounds great but have to admit I have not heard of this project.

Slooh's been around for two decades... I think they started around 2003 or 2004.

Remote telescopes services aren't really for AP. I was once able to schedule a photo session with Slooh, and imaged the Orion Nebula, but I couldn't set any parameters. I basically just say, shoot M42, and it schedules a time slot on one of their scopes, and images it. It's only a 5 min window, so I'm guessing long, multiple exposures won't be possible. Also, I could only download the png, not raw data.
