47 Tucanae last night

This my first image using my new ZWO ASI120MM-S USB3 guide camera with PHD2
6” F6 newt with HEQ5 mount
Canon 600D stock
ISO 800
30 x lights @ 40 sec
15 x darks
No flats
Stacked in DSS
Processed in Startools
Used HDR module to clean up and reveal core
Heavy wipe of gradients (Sydney’s horrible sky glow LP plus neighbours flood lights )
Wavelets Sharpening module twice
Magic module to clean up Stars, although stars could be rounder ?
I’m really impressed with the USB3 guide camera !!
Cheers

Looks good Martin, I didn't get out last night even though it was clear and still, massive day at work and still finalising some mods I've done. Hopefully tonight fingers crossed.

I'm thinking of getting a 120mm for guiding

Thanks Karl

Looks like some good clear nights ahead according to the forecast !!!

If you buy the 120mm make you match USB specs ( camera , cable and laptop port )
I’ve been using a 120mm USB2 into my USB3 laptop port waisting so much time waiting for the camera to respond , it was driving me crazy
Used the new 120mm USB3 last night and worked perfectly. Also the Orion 50mm mini guide scope with helical focuser is a gem

Can’t wait to see some of your images once you get your new kit together

Hi Martin
Great definition and no blow out so you must be very happy.
