Crescent Moon & Venus – Brisbane 26th April 2014

Pulled aside the curtains this morning to be greeted by this stunning pair floating in the brightening eastern sky, so I grabbed the 5D Mk III and 70-200 F4 L and took a few shots once they cleared the trees.

Cheers

Dennis

Nice composition Dennis. Saw these briefly in a gap in the clouds before going to bed!

Thanks Kevin – a night shift worker eh? Or an astro-all-nighter?

Cheers

Insomniac.

That and I was staying up for a comet which I didn't get to see due to clouds.

Good capture Dennis.

I saw that he Moon was well above Venus the other morning at the ANZAC dawn service. I was thinking that they would make a fine pair the next morning, but of course I completely forgot.
