Bluetooth inside nexstar HC

Have been using a serial-bluetooth plugged into my nexstar. It can be a pain as have to plug into handcontroller and need extra power for it. See pic1.

Found a thread that said you can put a bluetooth adaptor inside a nexstar handcontroller. Got a tiny serial-bluetooth card (~15 x 35mm, TTL one not the larger RS232 type) for $7.60 on ebay.

Soldered it into the handcontroller (pic2).
- two wires at the top for power
- two others into the TTL side of the max232 chip for the rx/tx.

Just start up mount, run align and then run it all via skysafari with the bluetooth - range ~ 20m. No external bits. Its all in the handcontroller (pic3).
