Canon 5DII batteries-are they same as 5D1?

Seen a few 5DII's come up for sale at an affordable price. Are the batteries these take the same as 5D1?

I have a 5 D1,and although its a good camera,it does not appear to be good for astro work,so was thinking of moving it along, and get a 5DII.

There appears lots of noise in 5D1 images, anyone had much of a go with a 5D1 for astro work?
