Reducer -> camera spacing

Hi all

I'm currently trying to nail down some parts of my setup of a TS130 f7 APO -> riccardi 0.75 reducer -> ASI1600. I've measured it out very carefully, and spaced it according to the specs on the teleskop express website. Problem is, the focuser would need an extra inch or so of travel to make focus. I remove a bit of spacing and I can reach focus, but now I'm not at specs (and I've read that this setup can be super picky about spacing and it needs to be correct).

So, question - it makes focus, but what should I be looking for to determine whether it's working as intended?
