Ground Control

Hello all,

With a high chance of aurora following an X-class solar flare last week, I spent two nights out under the stars on Friday and Saturday. Sadly the aurora was not to be but on the plus side I took the opportunity to explore some new locations. Whilst I had one camera pointed south and taking continuous shots I wandered around with my other camera taking various images.
This is the Mt Pilot Fire Tower which is used during the warmer months in Australia to look for the first signs of bush fires.

Great shot as usual Greg. Really cool foreground and colours. Is that a meteor I see shooting through the field?

Very nice Greg. Great composition. Slightly offcentre to my eye though.

Greg.

Satellite flare I think.

Yeah I messed up a bit on that Greg. Didn't quite line it all up properly when I was shooting the scene.
