First Light - Altair Hypercam 183C/WO Z61

Took a bit of setting up, and I have a lot of Lights from DSO's to process, and will post later.

Dunk, Tony is correct

I pimped this setup so I can stay inside and not get eaten by mozzies in summer or freeze in winter.

Pier is next on the agenda so I can setup quick and accurate every time.

WO were pretty useless for help on removing the knob on the single speed (thermometer) side. They said it was part of the shaft (which is made of a different material).

You need to remove the single silver grub screw in the black base on that side and then turn the knob to reveal the grub screws in the knob, there are 2 about 60 degrees apart.

I am going to need to do some more work on the stacking, the sensor black spot isn't being eliminated by the flats/darks, but the 1st DSO's look promising. Here is M104 40 lights, 10 Flats, 10 Darks.

M42 and M83

M83 is a bit off centre because there was an automatic meridian flip and the 2nd set of data wasn't aligned very well so had to crop.

Looking good Phil.

What settings did you use and how many frames have been stacked? I am interested in this form of video astronomy, but not sure even what the questions are to understand what you have done.
