A day to forget

Hi Guys, well yesterday, is a day i would rather forget.

Two days prior to this day I tripped over and slammed me knee into the lawnmower, large cut fairly deep, it bleed a bit, Alice cleaned it up, covered it and we thought as would be well till it healed.

How wrong we were, last night it swelled like a balloon and the pain was terrible, it got infected, last night i got so hot and shaky I though i would rattle the neighbors house.

Then that same day Alice was coming home from the coarse she is doing and some woman decide it would be a good idea to do a U Turn, didn't look, or indicate and drove into the side of her much love Kio Rio, which she has had from new.

Both Left hand doors and Quarter panel, they are considering totaling it which i feel is so bad, it has only done 42,000 ks and is so well looked after, so one really dosn't know what is around the corner.

Leon

Hi Leon

Extremely sorry to hear about your knee and about the car.

Hope the spell of bad luck passes and things get back to normal.

BTW have you been to the doctor to get your leg checked?

Sorry Leon to hear such news
But look on the bright side you survived and so did Alice
Both accidents could have resulted in serious health issues
Don't let it get you down

Not good news,Leon sorry to here you and Alice have had a awful few days.Glad to hear Alice was not hurt in vehicle accident. But she would been so shaken, and no matter what people say-larger possessions become apart of us,and it would have been very upsetting for knowing the car was badly damaged :/

Hope the Dr's got that knee sorted.... Yes-as you mentioned we never really know what's around the corner.Hope things are on the up for you both soon!

Thank you for your kind thoughts and messages, The car went in today but I reckon they will write it off

Alice although shaken at the time, is OK, and her 91year old Auntie let her have her car till our stuff is sorted, maybe at 91 we shouldn't give it back

My knee is killing me and the doctor has said it was a case blood poisoning, so i am on high pain killers and antibiotics , and probably off with the pixies.

Hope things improve Leon. I had my horror week for this year a fortnight ago - similar to yours.

Our car still not finished - keep finding faults Over $3K damage so far. You wouldn't know it to look at it, but that's what crumple zones do I guess. Crumple

Sorry to hear about your troubles Leon. Hope the knee recovers quickly. Pity about the car but, that can be replaced. I'm sure Alice can't and she's OK. Things will get better soon and you'll be able to have a look at your printer problem again.
Bestest,
Robert

Leon, good to hear you are recovering and Alice is OK.

My almost 91 year old mother got out of hospital yesterday after a stay of more than 2 weeks because of an infected cut on her leg. She still drives and I wouldn't dare try to stop her. She prizes the independence it gives her, even though she doesn't drive far.
