A saucepan and a helmet.

Hi all

Thor's Helmet in HOO, something like 20 hours evenly spread across Oiii and Ha. ZWO ASI1600MM Pro, Skywatcher ED100 x0.85 reducer/flattener, guided on an EQ6R. I plan to go deep on Ha with this target over the present bright moon period to bring out the outer nebulosity around the bubble. What is in this image is badly underexposed, but it's received a bit of appreciation in Instagram so I decided to share it here too.

Orion's Belt in OSC, far too few 180s subs collecting photons through a Sigma 150mm Macro attached to a Nikon D850. Also guided on an EQ6R. This image had a moment in the sun on Astrobin, gathering a few likes.

I have a Pencil Nebula to share as well, but haven't yet shrunk the file enough to upload here.

You can find all these and others on Instagram @sa_astro . My whole journey - horrors, accidents, and joy, is all there in a kind of journal of this beginner's experience so far.

Thanks again for this excellent resource in Ice In Space - I'm a daily visitor!

Clear skies

Thanks folks

Yes I only managed to squeak in 15 x 180s subs due to cloud, and I'm unsure whether I'll get another dark sky visit in during Orion Season so decided to process anyway. Will try again another time to do it properly for sure.

Thanks for looking and commenting
