After 10 years with a backyard observatory at a darkish location I am back to apartment living near the centre of Brisbane, with little likelihood of using my expensive equipment. (I have already sold my Astro-Physics mount.) Therefore I am selling the following:
Takahashi TOA 130NF telescope (4-inch focus tube) with field flattener and focal reducer, Takahashi tube holder, Astro-Physics dovetail plate and tube rings, tube rings for guidescope, a light box, bracket and flexible coupler for a RoboFocus motor, and SBIG STL 11000M self-guiding full-frame camera with internal filter wheel with 50mm LRGB, clear, Ha and OIII filters and screwed couplers to suit the TOA 130.
The telescope has a few minor paint chips and scratches and a spot of fungus about 5mm diameter on an inner lens surface that does not seem to have changed in the last year. (See photo.) The scope sat in its box unused for three years. The camera has been unused since a recent overhaul by SBIG.
The replacement cost of the telescope and accessories would be about AUD 13,000, and the nearest self-guiding SBIG camera, filter wheel and filters is currently USD 11,695.
Sale price: Telescope and accessories $6,000. Camera $4,000. Telescope and camera $9,000.
