Ngc 3586

Been a long time between drinks, been working on this one for a few months since a 6 month long hiatus due to weather and life.

Don't know what NGC 3586 is? Well, it's NGC 3576 but a less common designation (it's a specific part).
33 hours of data captured with the venerable BeamTech 250 and QHY600, 10 hours each of Ha, OIII & SII and 3 hours of RGB. As happy as I am with the SHO data I do wonder whether I need to change the RGB stars as I have a feeling that their colour is a blue too blue, at least some of them anyway.

Holy cow that’s stunning! Probably one of the most detailed high res renditions of this area I’ve ever seen. Colour and brightness is quite restrained, but there’s such an high level of intricate detail it’s a pleasure to zoom around the larger version. Great stuff!!

Thanks Dave, actually putting a good amount of acquisition time into it makes such a different. In the past I’ve been too quick to move on to new projects.

Great image Colin!

I finally got a chance to check out the high res on a decent size screen and it's very impressive. Glad to see you imaging again & its good to see the BeamTech stretching its legs.

Thanks Pete, I've been loving the BeamTech when I can find the time to set up

That's one good thing about these southerly objects is that one can get access to them for a longer season.
