Hello from WA

Hi,
I am new to astronomy and have jumped right in by purchasing a Celestron Astromaster 130EQMD. Have only managed to view the moon so far which I found very bright. Missed looking at the lunar eclipse

Anyway, I hope to get the chance to use my scope regularly, and am sure to ask some dumb questions on the learning curve.

All the best,
Chris

Hi Chris,
We also have this as one of our scopes too. You will have fun with it. If it didn't come with the motor drive, you can pick one up pretty cheap and should keep your objects in the field of view for quite a while provided you align to the SCP
Have fun,
Andrew & Campbell

Yes, I decided to get the one with motor drive as I figured it would be good to have and easier if it was pre-installed

Hi Chris, I'm an ex-WA'ite, lived south and loved it. Have you joined or thinking of joining ASWA?
