Limited focus travel

Question time!

I use a Intes Mak with a Jmi focuser that has limited back focus - 16mm.
I can only really get my ultra short focal point eyepieces to come to focus.
So I require more inward travel on the focuser for other eyepieces to come to focus 5-13mm.
If I were to use a glass path corrector 1.25x which adds 15mm of focal length when used before the diagonal would this solve my problem to use the other eyepieces?
Obviously adds magnification also.

Wilson,
I’m a little surprised to hear the focus adjustment is only 16mm.
Is this due to the JMI focuser or some other issue????

Other issue!

The stock focuser is a bit agricultural, (shown in picture) and the focal point is very short on the MK-65 so I changed it out with the JMI, the only focuser that will fit.
Here lies the problem!

Yeah I can get focus with other eyepieces with the extra travel.
But your head touches the rear of ota. Pita
Subsequent Maks have fixed this problem with a longer focal point.

The GPC1.25x will move the focal point outward between 15 and 30mm depending on where it is placed in the optical train. Remember that the cemented lens element needs to be flipped over if you’re putting it into the front of the diagonal.

If you have the 2” nosepiece you can insert the GPC into the nosepiece using the little black ring spacer.

Convex side of the GPC optic faces toward telescope objective…

Yes that’s the glass path corrector I was looking at Matt.
I just needed someone to confirm I was on the right path.
Have the t2 2” nose piece on the diagonal already, so all should fit.

Thanks
