RASA 8 Dolphin Head Nebula

Hi all,

The Dolphin Head Nebula from Glenn Innes NSW with a RASA 8 and 533MM camera. Over 2 nights I captured Oiii and Ha through the Baader High Speed 3.5nm (Oiii) and 6nm (Ha) filters. COuld definitely do with more data, but very happy with the outcome. Love the red in the background, but I do think that up close, it looks a bit brutalised.

Very happy for critique and or suggestions on how to make it better.

Thanks!

Great stuff mate. Beautiful colours and the detail is wonderful. The background Ha coming through the ‘head’ is really lovely. Only suggestion I could think of is perhaps some shorter rgb subs for the stars.

A good rendition Lachlan. Not an easy target but a spectacular one.

Greg.

Thanks Dave, I don't have any RGB filters yet so doing what I can with what I have. That's the next step!

Very nice. I agree with Dave882 about getting some RGB stars in there (when you have the filters) but otherwise looks great!
