Get the soft16Cmt.txt from Meade support (should be the same as the Meade MPC version)

Locate the folder program files\meade\ astroware and add the file to the folder

Run autostar suite ephemeris import active comets - replace list. Use the soft16Cmt.txt as the source
This will convert the soft16Cmt.txt into the userplan.upl file which can now be readby the program

Next look at ephemeris-active asteroids and comets and scroll down until you find the comet you want.

As far as I can see if you want to add a comet to the comets.dat file you will need to do it manually from the userplan.upl file.

Good Peter

I went through the exersize myself. The one thing I forgot to mention was to make it visible on the display you need to tick active ast/comets in the options - skymap
