A quick Chicken

While waiting for my real target to get above the trees I took 10 600 second shots of the running chicken.
Stacked and chennel extracted the HA and O3 in Astropixel processor along with the RGB

Combined it using the foraxx script in pixinsight Decided to use the foraxx version as it was more an HOO palette, HA as a luminance and processed it before finalizing it in Photoshop
100 minutes in total
TSoptics 130 apo reduced 0.75x with riccardi reducer
Optolong L-Ultimate
Asiair
Skywatcher NEQ6 beltmodified
Astrobin large version

Nik,
Nice chicken for a quickie
Detail is excellent, colour palette is excellent, framing excellent, stars obviously bleached out due to 10 min subs
Well done indeed!!
By the way what was your intended target ?

Cheers

Thanks MArtin

RCW85 it's a very faint object between the 2 pointers I had to do 15 minute exposures for 5 hours last night as it came up over the house and the bottlebrush tree after 11 last night, happy for longer nights now

Nicely done Nick. Got some great detail coming through for such a short stint. Gotta love those “before my main target rises” targets!

My main target still needs quite a bit of acquisition so far 5 hours is nowhere near enough.

Thanks Greg much appreciated
I am learning all the time from youtube videos and from others as well as the more seasoned photographers on this forum.
the latest scripts and processes in pixinsight and this new laptop have really helped a lot as well.

Great detail with that quick Chicken, Nik!

I'm guessing the 10-min subs have made a difference? Well done.

Hi Pete
I reckon the 10 min subs help a lot with the Optolong filters. A new moon helped as well when I took this.
Thank you
