That looks great Paula, an excellent first effort!
I hate being the first one to nit-pick, but, when I got my first photography job, 25 years ago, my mentor was always looking at my night time shots, and daytime too I guess, and the first thing out of his mouth EVERY time, was;
"your horizon is crooked"
I guess that I have had it drummed into me hundreds of times, so that I cant help but notice that your horizon is crooked.
I know that I still get that wrong myself, but it is a good lesson to get burned into you head as early on as possible.
Good work though, I would love to capture some aurora time-lapse.
Nice work on the timelapse Paula, I can see some "movement" in the aurora, impressive stuff
Thanks matt

Thanks Andrew Yes I over process it, probably could have only used 30sec exposure. First time shooting Aurora so didnt know what to expect and using new camera too.

Thanks! Good luck there might be something tonight but I think the clouds will be your biggest problem.
To use what you have to more effect I would straighten the horizon (even at the cost of some sky in the corners), and in the video I would include a slow-motion reply after a short fade to black after the first run-through. The slow-motion would be jerky of course, but it would give the viewer a second chance.

Thanks for the tips Roger. Hopefully I'll have another chance to catch it again and I'll be more prepared next time. It was my first time so I was rushed and quickly set it up and snapped away.

I'll post it as well.
