Comet C/2014 E2 (Jacques)

This faint little comet is now visible in the Southern skies. A single shot taken at 0936 UTC on the 22.03.2014. 1 x 180 seconds @ -25c, no darks, flats or bias with the Takahashi FSQ-106 @ F/5.0.

Widefield and cropped. The original sequence was of 5 shots but the comet is moving quite quickly and stacking showed significant elongation of the comet.

Cheers

Good shot John.

We've had big rains here and I'm reluctant to try for it again due to the mossie plague.
