Nano Tracker.

You see Vixen Polaries, Skywatcher Adventurers, and other brands mentioned on IIS from time to time, but I don't recall seeing anything much about the
Baader [Sightron] Nano Tracker.
I have just bought one, and would like to hear of other's experiences
with them.

Raymo, I have had one of these for a couple of years and use it quite often. They are fun to use and quick to set up. They track fairly accurately if your polar alignment is close but this would be one of the cons of this unit. Polar alignment is difficult without fixing some kind of optical aid next to the tracker. I have manufactured a mount which I attach the tracker to, it supports a 6X30 finder scope which is aligned to the small peep hole that is hopelessly inadequate for the Southern Hemisphere. These trackers were designed for the Northern Hemisphere market where Polaris can be viewed through the peep hole. No such luck in locating the SCP accurately down under with this method, hence the help of the finder. I have managed 40seconds with a 500mm mirror lens but this was really stretching it. I can consistently get nice round stars @ 40secs/200mm focal length using my finder to find SCP. This is much better than their recommended times and focal lengths. For widefield, they work a treat, just don't overload them with heavy cameras and lenses (max 2kg) and you'll be fine.
