LMC Mosaic

http://www.astrobin.com/136565/

I continue to add narrowband data to this mosaic. Here's a bit of H-alpha presented in negative form.

Sorry John - solar shots should be posted in the solar system group, not deep space (... and I'd be a little worried if the Sun looked like that! )

What a great way to present this image!! Love it! In fact, it's so novel in negative the APOD folks might want to see that. What's your plan for the image - tri-colour NB?

Cheers, Marcus

Yeah, that looks pretty cool John, very nice work. Love negative shots of the LMC since seeing a few UK Schmidt contact print negs nearly 3 decades ago in storage at Mt Stromlo

Thanks Mike. I think they have something like this up at the UK Schmidt too. Those are Ha plates to die for.

Well one does exist, but it is a positive rendition on the Gigapan viewer. http://www.gigapan.com/gigapans/143387

Hi Marcus, Yes TC NB is in the works. Taking forever. I only have one FSQ running.
