Grouse work & good looking images Derek
So, hope dont mind me asking, tho what does these Cak Images reveal in their signals, eg, light & dark areas ect, is they related to Tempeatures, +/- magnetic disturbances or something else ? Fascinating hey ?
Cheers

It's basically the area between the White light and the Ha regions So still all magnetic fields and associated goings on but at a deeper level. The spots are still the cooler regions if you can call them that and often flaring is evident in the CaK areas and Ha but not in the WL.You can also view prominences but they are often much fainter than Ha.On an amateur level you get a bit more detail than White Light but only photographically as we are not that sensitive to near UV especially as we get older.Hope this helps

Thanx for your insight/explanation, them wormy looking structures would be fine filament associated then, I guess ? dont see them in Vis light or as much even in Ha, or what Light wave them other solar scopes (PST/Lunts Etc) do ?
