NGC 3324 and outskirts of Carina

Mainly making sure my (bearing replaced) HEQ5 mount is up to scratch, testing the auto focuser and Astroberry is working. Until I get a new camera I will have to wait for the really good images to come from my scope.

After updating the bearing (Tuning) the mount guiding is now between 0.65 to 1.2 arsec accuracy which is well within the green zone. Compared to my previous guide accuracy between 1.5 to 5 arcsecs a great improvement. The camera though does not reflect this increase in guiding accuracy though.

I am not ready to place larger images until a better camera comes or the target is best for the camera/telescope combination.

That looks great Malcolm, seems a little fuzzy as if the focus is out. A great wide angle shot none the less. I tried the latest PHD2 version with multi star guiding it has been amazing, I saw at one point last night 0.22 arc sec which is the best I've seen. I can't wait to see your next image.
