Registax problem

Registax works fine up to the stage of "wavelets", but when I click on wavelets a dialogue box comes up saying " access code violation at
address, followed by a long number. I deleted Registax and downloaded it again, and same thing happened, but with a different long number.
Any ideas as to what is going on? I use Windows 8.1

Hope someone has an answer as I'm having the same problem , am using Win7 Ultimate. Was working fine until a month or so ago, maybe something to do with Windows updates ! Tried going back to Registax 5, still no joy.

Been a lot of MS updates lately I've noticed. Haven't run Registax for a while, too many clouds and no pix but I'll check mine tonight. On Win 7 Pro.
Saw a demo on IRIS Monday night. Might be worth trying instead but looks complex, a bit fiddly and resource hungry. I've only had a limited chance to play with it so far.
The user who showed it uses it to derotate his images as he only has an AZ scope setup. It seemed remarkably capable of fixing that which was impressive to all there. I think an EQ mount is an easier solution though.

Further problems with Registax. Home page won't display, and nor will
the "contact them" by email page. What is going on?
