Colliding with the moon

Thought I'd share this idea with those looking for a cheap intro into astrophotography. Buy an inexpensive full HD Dash Cam - you can get them for under $40 on eBay, remove the lens (can be a bit tedious) and make an adapter to fit your eyepiece holder. You don't even need a computer to take the shot because you can use their built in LCD to frame and focus the image. Too easy!
These shots of the moon were taken about 4 months ago, processed in Registax and modified and saved in Photoshop.

Good result, and easier than using a DSLR, unless one has a long focal
length scope.

A lot easier than a DSLR Raymo, about one tenth the weight and one twentieth the price. These were shot through the same OTA you have Raymo and because the sensor is so tiny and relatively generous in pixels, it crops the image and resembles an image taken with a longer focal length.. Stick it in a 3x barlow and you can do some planetary shots with them as well.

You can get great results with a $15 webcam + barlow +laptop
+ Registax.
