Mosaic - M42 Horsehead Nebula - Foraxx

Gday all. I tried for a four panel mosaic but only limited data due to poor weather and trees in the backyard. I rotated the photo so mature people like myself dont bend the neck....too much

Also added HaRGB version

SW AZEQ6
ZWO 2600
OAG-L
ZWO 177
Askar FRA 500 using 0.7x reducer 350mm.

48min@60s for blue on each panel
50min@60s for green
1h for red
50min Ha for two panels

Awesome job Steve. You've hauled in a massive area of sky with this mosaic. Really nice.

Glad you liked it mate. Couple more panels either side would have gave it more depth.

Fantastic and in such a quick exposure time. Looks very moody and brooding.

Hi Greg
More exposure time sure would have better. Moon and new moon sure made it hard. Thanks for having a look.

Hi Nik
You are correct, that area always looks good in the old red/Ha type colours. Thanks for looking

Amazing! As the other have said there’s a tonne of detail and background depth for a short integration. Well done

Love the colour blend on the first one, particularly with only one NB channel... nice one! NBColourMapper?
