Carina in NB with Red

This is my final attempt at this object. I am happy and satisfied with the result. Thanks to everyone who has offered assistance and advice!

It is a Red, OIII, SII and Ha combination. Have combined the SII and OIII to create a second blue(ish) layer. Plus modified the SII layer to add a subtle yellow/orange. 6 colour layers all together in Photoshop CS6.

Taken through ED80 with 0.85 focal reducer with Atik 11000, mounted on AZEQ6.

Thanks for looking

Looks good to me Scottie, nice and sharp, great field.
I would possibly tweak the highlights a touch to decrease the brightness in the middle. But nonetheless nice work!

Thanks Russell. Feedback is appreciated.
Going to have to tweak it when I get home. The monitor I processed it on at work does not give a true representation of what is in the data. Just got it printed out and it looks substantially dimmer...

Hmmmmmm, that search for perfection!

Did you say something Slawomir!?

New revision here...
http://www.astrobin.com/152528/B/

There is a part of me that likes the first go. But there are good bits with the revision. What are your thoughts everyone?

I know the second crack is a bit over blown in places. Especially in the core. That can be solved when I get more data. Looks very clear tonight in Brisbane... maybe tonight! Going to try for 2 minute subs of NB...

Technically it's a very good Eta image but the red is a bit overpowering. There's a lot of OIII in this one so there should be more blue.

Cheers

Steve

Thanks Steve. Once I have the new data I will take that into consideration when reprocessing...
