Hi John, does this work as a standard finderscope when coupled with a 1.25" eyepiece? what's the lowest power eyepiece have you tested it with?

Thanks!

Yes it does but the focus methosd is not optimised for that type of usage. I have a GSO Superview 15mm eyepiece with a parfocal ring set up to use with this scope that matches to my lodestar. I use that to get alignment with the main scope and approx focus. Then swap out for the ccd and use the helical focus to get is bang on. So yup you can use it visual.
