I have tried to accumulate some hours of exposing , to try to shown the dust around the bright Iris, but also to have a color information on weak dust clouds. . Some noise is present but perhaps it is the price I have to pay to try to have a little bit of detail and color on the darker parts.
I like so much Fabio ... but so much denoise for obtain this result for me. There's a milion of Iris on the web but i remember this for sure, congrats.
Michael:To be compared to Michelangelo is a divine feeling! unfortunately we have the same nationality but quality very different! I would need a larger number of exposures and different sky, and maybe even more more inch of diameter...... But I have tried to achieve the signal that I had to bring out the details and colours even on the weakest parts. If I had turned down the stretch both colours and luminance ,I stifled the details and color. I tried and this is the result. Maybe it will be the challenge of next year!
Hello Leo, is a pleasure to read what you write. You know well my RC and also the field of Iris, then I believe that you will understand that I have tried to bring out something that is not so common to see. As I wrote to Mike, next year I'll try to add more exposure.
This is an object we sorely miss down here in the far south Fabio. I really like the colour and the three dimensional look to the dust. Nice amount of integration time.
Bella Fabio! Colors are very captivating, I find the dusty part a tad overprocessed but it is for sure an image of great impact, so I guess it is fine this way too

Thanks Colin! years ago I tried to do about twenty-four hours on the Cocoon with DSLR, now with the CCD. Evidently I have a full day in the lead!

Great colour and detail but its got a heavy overprocessed look. As others have mentioned too much false contrast that doesn't really exist in the nebula.

actually I do not think they told me that there are false contrast in the nebula. I think they have said that I do not process very well these contrasts. I will I compare these images. In fact the details are there, nothing is "more" but the difficulty is to manage them! DSO Manciano is my photo.

Nice comparison Fabio! I love this object and although, as has been said, it's a little overcooked, I understand what you were trying to do. Sometimes it's a bit of a trade off. To achieve a certain outcome or bring out a particular detail, you have to push it harder than you normally would and other parts of the image suffer because of this. Having a particular goal in mind and achieving it, makes any image a winner! Great job mate.
