I emailed about a Tak bracket almost exactly two weeks ago and got a response a couple of days later. I placed an order the next day and the bracket arrived last week...
I e-mailed them three or four days ago for a quote and got a reply this evening:
RF3I (USD 469.00)
FSQ 106ED bracket (USD 10.00)
Priority mail with insurance (USD 48.45).
Payment by Visa is OK (details split over three e-mails for safety).
Hi H..to stick my big nose in..the difference is the 3I has (Quote):
The 110vAC power adapter has been replaced with just a 2.1mm power plug. User is responsible for finding a local 12vDC source. Price is reduced to account for this substitution.
aka they removed the 110V plug pack supply and you supply your own +12V.
The 'I' stands for 'International', meaning the unit is supplied with only a 12v lead and plug and not the 110V-12V transformer, thus saving a few dollars. The info is on their website somewhere.
Question, if you get a 2.1mm plug, can I just stick it into my DewBuster? I think that has provisions for supplying power. Or, what else would be a good solution?
I'm a complete gumby when it comes to powering things.
I got my unit not long ago. I ended up buying a 12V 1A power supply. It looks like a slightly large phone charger. Luckily it had the correct sized plug on it.
