A tractor is a car, right?

I had heaps of fun at the Tooradin Tractor pull today. I tried out high speed shutter shots to freeze the dirt spray and also slow speed panning shots to blur the background.
There was even a tractor with 3 big block engines!

Marque This

A few of the 'marques' I have in the collection.
These are just photographed on the street when I am lucky enough to see one parked. if the owner turns up, they are usually happy to stand around talking about their lovely cars.
There are a few I would love to own, like the Valiant TorqueFlite, and the Jensen Interceptor. But I'm just dreaming.

Hi Trev,
There were a few classics at the 'hoon-show' I went to yesterday, I even took a couple of pics of their wonderful badges, including one from a De Soto Truck with a hand on a stick for an indicator.
Cheers.

Cheers Tim. I may have seen that De Soto!? I saw one like it in Ulverstone about 6 months ago in a parade, and it wasn't local. of course it could have just been 'another one', but either way it was very cool. I took a few photos of the detail on my phone camera, but they weren't worth keeping.
Most of today's cars are very unattractive, and so i love getting a chance to photograph the classics.
Here's a few more from the small collection

Dad drove a Valiant in UK.
The one with the big wheel shape on the boot.
The locals called it the batmobile

Looks like I misjudged the target audience. I assumed most iceinspace users put their expensive precision scopes in the back seat of their old 5 litre V8 Commodores and did burnouts at their local Astronomy club car park before a good observing session.
Man I was wrong
