Exclamation Launch of the IceInSpace Shop

Hi all

I'm pleased to announce the launch of the IceInSpace Shop - an online shopping site where you can buy IceInSpace branded merchandise, as well as other astronomy, space & night sky related products that IceInSpace provides for sale to its community or the general public.

We've always had merchandise and other items for sale here on IceInSpace (eg: beanies, calendars and yearbooks), but the new IceInSpace Shop will bring all of it together under the one easy-to-use platform.

We're launching with just a few products, but more will be added as I get more merchandise made up, or as other products like calendars and yearbooks become available throughout the year.
The shop site will be familiar to anyone who's purchased online; you can simply add the products to your cart, view and modify your cart, and checkout when you're ready to place your order.

On the checkout page, you will have to create an IceInSpace Shop account where you choose a username and password, enter your email and billing/shipping address. Note: This is separate from your IceInSpace Forum registration. Your IceInSpace Shop account can be used every time you wish to purchase products through IceInSpace.

You can pay using the three normal payment methods we provide - Paypal, Direct Deposit and Cheque/Money Order.

Please have a read of the IceInSpace Shop About & FAQ page for more information, or our Shipping and Refunds policies.

I'm happy to receive any of your feedback, comments or suggestions about the IceInSpace Shop. You can provide feedback via the IceInSpace Shop Contact page, or by replying here.

Thanks!

Love this just bought 2 Eclipse glasses thanks Mike and company. I may have caused a problem with two orders the first one I forgot to select Australian postage I hadn't paid but had got to paypal screen. Sorry if this has caused a problem.

Anyway I am sure I will purchase more with paypal as a payment option great idea

Mike, can you make it possible to have multiple addresses? I don't get stuff delivered to what would be my billing address.

Hi Andrew

The system by default had billing and shipping address separate. I combined them to have just a billing/shipping address.

Feel free to what whatever delivery address you want against your account. The 'billing' address isn't used for anything. The one address is used to put on the front of the envelope

Cool Mike!

This should make paying for things like IISAC a whole lot easier as well? Just have to figure out the "packages" I suppose like dinner, number of people as separate items like IISAC adult x 1, IISAC Dinner x 2 etc etc....

Noice!

Cheers

Chris

Thanks Chris - yeh there's add-ons I can use to try and use it for things like IISAC registrations.

Will be a bit of a challenge but useful if I can get it working.

Cool Mike.
No hassles.
Easy to follow and worked without a hitch.
Shame you did not have more merchandise to buy while I was in the retail therapy mood.
Very slick !
Order Number 144 (twelve squared) my lucky number!

Thanks Allan!

I'll be trying to get some more merchandise up there soon, but initially it'll be old stock of t-shirts etc that are still sitting in my storage room. At least now I can advertise them and hopefully someone will buy them

I'll be looking to get some new branded merchandise in the coming months.

Cheers
